Colorado Hawking Club
Here is an update on the second apprentice seminar. It is still going to be on Saturday, July 17th. This seminar will be held at my house in Florissant, CO. Florissant is about thirty miles West of Colorado Springs. We will get started around 9:30 am and run until around 4:00 pm. You will want to bring a lawn chair and a sack lunch. I will have drinks and snacks available.
In this seminar, we will do a quick review of some things we covered at the first seminar. Things such as regulations, taking the test, finding a sponsor and other general “how to get started” topics; mostly for any new folks that didn’t make the first seminar.
This second seminar is going to cover traps and trapping, manning and training and actually flying your bird, along with other topics. This is a fun seminar that gets you information on actually working with a hawk.
Please contact our Apprentice Director, Don Born, if you would like to attend, via his email: apprentice@coloradohawkingclub.com or call him at 719-244-1684.
I look forward to seeing everyone again. I think we will have a fun and informative seminar to offer you.
